In my profile, I briefly shared that I once lost my spark — that unstoppable, go-getter attitude that used to drive me forward. This is a brief outline of my journey and where I am. Going forward, I will document how I am continuously improving and creating my life design.
The Rise Before the Fall
In my early twenties, I was confident, driven, and naturally successful. I trusted my intuition and took bold action without overthinking. I believed in myself and never questioned why things were working — they just did.
Then life shifted. At 26, I had my eldest daughter, and after her birth, I faced postnatal depression. I tried to ignore it, to keep going but living life was different this time because I was burying depression. I had my youngest daughter at 30 and at 34 my husband became ill with cancer and passed away. Everything changed.
In 2007, before his passing, we’d taken a beautiful family trip from the Falkland Islands via Chile and Spain to the UK. To France and Euro Disney, the Channel Islands, and Ireland — a journey filled with love, chaos, and, sadly, many angry words. We did not have the opportunity to make up, within a week of returning home, my husband had fallen ill and within 4 months passed away.

Losing Myself
Grief and depression hit hard. I blamed myself for everything, believing his death was somehow my punishment. In my pain, I began reprogramming my mind with thoughts of guilt, shame, and unworthiness; without realising that my subconscious mind was absorbing every word.
Bob Proctor often said that “Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined — it simply accepts what you tell it.” And that’s exactly what I was doing — feeding it negativity, over and over again.
Before long, my outer world mirrored my inner chaos. I withdrew from friends and family, drowned my emotions in television and wine, and lived in a fog of self-punishment. My confidence, creativity, and joy disappeared.
Searching for Something More
I tried to rebuild my life several times — new ventures, new country, new jobs — but every setback reinforced my inner belief that I wasn’t good enough. When, I moved from the Falkland Islands to the UK, hoping a change of environment would help me start fresh.
But, as author James Allen said, “Environment is but our looking glass.” No matter where I went, my thoughts came with me. My results couldn’t change until I did.
The Power of Paradigms
It wasn’t until I began studying personal development seriously that I learned about paradigms — those deep-rooted patterns of belief and behaviour that shape every part of our lives.
Bob Proctor taught that paradigms are like invisible programs running our subconscious mind, keeping us locked in old habits even when we consciously want to change. They determine how much success, love, and happiness we allow ourselves to experience.
I realised that mine were built on fear, guilt, and unworthiness — and they were running my life on autopilot. Every time I started to improve, my paradigm would pull me right back to my comfort zone.
My Turning Point
During one of my personal growth phases, I met my mentor — someone who helped me see life through new eyes. He introduced me to an empowering environment filled with positive thinkers and goal-setters who were living with purpose. But I still struggled internally. My old patterns whispering doubts like, “Who do you think you are?” or “You’ll never make it.” My awareness would not see evidence of peoples’ lives changing in this environment; I was stuck in my own internal world.
The shift came when I made a committed decision to dream big — to stop waiting for permission and start acting as if I was already worthy of success. That decision has opened many doors for me.
Living by Design, Not Default
Today, this decision has led me to this blog to document my progress and share what was successful in the hopes that I can help you make the decision to step out of your comfort zone and go after what it is you really want. The difference for me now? I understand how the mind works. I know that success isn’t about luck — it’s about alignment, mindset, and faith in action. It is not about an overnight success, it is about the journey to where we want to go, not the end destination. This blog is my space to share that journey — to inspire others who may feel stuck, lost, or trapped by old paradigms.
My Mission
Through this blog, I’ll be sharing practical mindset tools, personal development insights, and lessons inspired by Bob Proctor and other great thought leaders. My mission is to help you recognise the invisible paradigms holding you back and give you the awareness to replace them with powerful, success-driven beliefs.
Transformation doesn’t happen overnight — but it begins the moment you decide to take control of your thoughts and step into your power. The growth journey of life where we appreciate and enjoy all the steps, the challenges and wins.
A Final Thought
Your thoughts are the blueprint of your future.
When you change your thoughts, you change your vibration — and when you change your vibration, you change your results.
